To start of the month Eris had her big 8th Grade field trip. The whole class rode the train to Tacoma where we visited three museums.
This was at the Glass Museum. Eris was chosen to help the resident artists working on a glass mosaic, she was incredibly nervous!
This is outside the Washington State History Museum.
Waiting to go into the Glass museum. I love the bridge in the background.
The glass blowers at the Glass Museum, this was probably our favorite part.
Getting a lesson on mosaics.
Eris and the girls on the train ride!
This was one of my favorite pieces at the Glass Museum. It is a stained glass of St. George and the dragon, I want this in my house!!!
This is for my brother. It is an Indian with side car at the Washington State History Museum. I have always loved the Indian Motorcycles.
Our weather has been incredible this spring. Warmer than I can remember at this time of year.
Beren and his friend Eli at our local river park. They of course played and dug in the mud for an hour!
We took a family field trip to our favorite store ever, Powells in Portland! Eris needed a book for school that we couldn't find at the library. Of course they had it at Powells!!
This is what happens in my family after a visit to Powells. I'll take it this over phones, ipods, or games any day.
This was the dessert I had after lunch, yes that is Bacon!! I didn't realize my dessert would come with Bacon, silly I know. Not good when you're trying to stick to a Vegan diet!! It was delish, and yes I picked the bacon off, I know some of you think I am crazy.
Eris's Girl Scout troop made their delivery of donated Cookies to Meals on Wheels.
We donated 90 packages to the home bound!
Beren decided he wanted to write a book. This a picture of him deep in thought.
I love that I caught this moment!!
Eris will be bridging to Senior Girl Scouts next month. As part of their requirements the troop had to meet with younger girls to talk about how things change when you go to the next level.
I can't believe how little the girls look. I remember how much bigger the girls looked when Eris was at that level, now Eris is one of those Big girls!!
Beren is playing Spring Soccer this season. His team decided to try it as a way to keep up on their skills for the Fall season. It is a lighter schedule than Fall and better weather.
He loves to strike a pose!
Over all we are enjoying the transition into spring. Nice weather and getting out more. Things are winding down and coming to a close for summer. Like I said pretty mellow and easy going!!
