We started our Christmas season with a visit to Auntie's. Where we went to a light display at a local state park.
It was one of the coolest Christmas excursions we've done. They light a path with lanterns through the park to the campground, where local groups have set up light displays and activities.
Someone forgot to tell them Not to eat the decorations ;0)
It was a lot of fun!
When we got home it was time to start decorating! First on the list, go get the Tree!!
One of our favorite traditions. We love the farm we go to and look forward to it every year!
Our second favorite tradition is our annual homemade Christmas ornaments.
This year we took cooked spaghetti noodles, dipped them in glue, set them in a design, covered them in glitter then let dry. They really turned out well and sparkled in the tree lights.
We missed the boat parade this year, so we decided to try another Portland activity called Winter Wonderland. A massive light display they erect at the raceway.
The kids were excited and feeling the love of the season!!
Trees with reindeer.
The wreath arch at the exit.
The Christmas Sea Monster (?)
Five golden rings!!
It was spectacular. We had so much fun!!
Finally Christmas arrived!!
This year we asked the kids to take turns opening presents. They enjoyed watching each person's reaction to what they received.
The big gifts this year were Beren's xbox! The look on his face says it all!!
And Eris's Art Desk!!
I think she liked it!
After the holidays fast approaches Pine Wood Derby. So Gregory and Beren got right to work on their car.
They really put in a team effort every year!
Beren is calling it the Death Arrow!! Good Luck this year!
We headed back to Aunties to exchange gifts and celebrate New Years.
And whipped up some delicious food to ring in the new year!
The kids favorite by far, the Fudge!
The kids ended 2013 with a fabulous dance party!
Beren especially was feeling the groove!
Before we left for home our families started the year off right with some exercise, sunshine and family time!
It was a beautiful day!
You're never to old to hold hands with your Mom!
What a great start to 2014. I love my family more than words can express! I am excited to share new memories with all of you this year!
