This February has been a cold one for sure, snow and frost. A benefit to the restrictive weather is the opportunity to explore indoor activities.
One such activity was a local baking class we signed up for!
It reminded the kids of all the Baking shows we have watched.
They were totally into it and had a blast!
We made chicken pot pie and apple pear streusel pie.
We all had so much fun together, the kids learned some great techniques and we had a delicious dinner to share.
Another favorite indoor activity is Lego building.
Beren constructed this amazing feat of engineering. He was inspired by the Space Needle. The top spins and has indoor seating. He worked on this for a week!
Ironically we chose to escape the outdoors by skating on ice indoors ;0)
We try to hit the Ice Rink at least once every winter.
The kids love it!
I found my calling in life when I became a mom. My kids are my everything! When they were younger I appreciated every moment, even the tough ones. Because I knew the time would come that I would miss it, all of it. With Eris away at college our time together when she comes home is a precious thing that we all cherish.
