A nice quiet August after a VERY Crazy Summer. Started off with our 18th Wedding Anniversary. There have been a lot of ups and downs on this journey but he remains a constant source of strength and support for me.
To finish up her summer Eris took an Animation Camp at the Pacific Northwest Film Center. She had a blast and can't wait to learn more!
Here is her final project from the Animation Camp. She did all of the artwork, voice over and animating. It took 12 hours for her to animate this 2 minute video.
She was one of only two students who did all of her own artwork and an actual walking scene. She did a fantastic job and I am so proud of her!
Before school started we made another trip to Anacortes to help Tye finish unpacking and organize after her move.
The kids and I took a walk and found the biggest Thistle I have ever seen, it was taller than Beren!
We had to do some berry picking on the way home, they made the most wonderful pie!
Anacortes has an annual Pirate Festival that we took the kids to.
This is Beren and Samuel having a duel with swords, battle axes and shields.
Part of the festivities included Work Boat races. This is one of the Tugs that was in the race. I have never seen anything like it, I had no idea tugs could move that fast. Very Powerful, the kids loved it.
Enjoying some ice cream by the water before the next race. The race course went right by the dock, you could feel the whole thing vibrate as the tugs sped past.
I love Tye's new place. This is her back yard!! Literally!
Counting the days till we visit again.
Until then it is on to September and School day activities!
