We started July with a road trip to Eastern Washington to spend a week at Lake Roosevelt with Tye and her family.
Baylee and Mom under the umbrella!
Beren enjoying the cool lake water.
Baylee getting some sun.
Eris and mom under the umbrella. This is where I spent most of my time!
Tye in the lake with her kids.
Tye and I kept calling him the old man. He was just getting over a cold and spent a lot of his time sitting cross legged, covered up and scowling.
Beren and Baylee playing in the sand.
All the kids on the dock.
Cole and Sam in the lake.
Emily relaxing in the lake.
After our week at the lake Tye went to start her new job and ALL the kids came home with me. It was crazy and chaotic but in a good way and I would do it all again, I love these guys.
This is our first night back at my place with all the kids, who ALL wound up in my bed! Yes they slept like that all night!
Gregory arrived in time to head to scout camp with Beren.
This year was horse camp.
Beren really enjoyed it, here he is hugging his horse after the trail ride.
At the Bow range.
At the bb gun range.
Practicing the lasso.
Beren carrying the flag.
Tye finally got the keys to her new home so we packed everyone up and hit the road again. We had a very full load.
Our first family dinner at the Smith's new house! It is so beautiful, they are going to be so happy here. I am so proud of Tye for this accomplishment. She is a strong determined woman who doesn't let anything stand in her way. I cherish her and her family and continue to be inspired by her everyday.
It was time to say good bye to the Smiths for a while, but at least I can go up and see them ANY time I like!!
Our next adventure was yet another road trip. This time to Logan, Utah to visit Gregory's 97 year old Grandpa.
This is a picture driving into Logan. It was beautiful the whole time we were there. Cloudy and cool, which suits me just fine.
Gregory and I with his Grandpa.
Beren, Dad and Great Grandpa.
Helping Grandpa into the Car.
The kids on Great grandpa's porch enjoying some treats from the corner store.
Gregory and his grandpa on the porch. It was a great visit. His grandpa is so sweet and loving, I didn't want to leave!
Before we left we visited Utah State University where Gregory's Grandpa was a professor. It was a great piece of family history to share with the children.
While were in Utah we were able to visit with Gregory's sister JoLin and her family.
We took the kids to the Ogden Dino Park.
Beren and Quinn, she was quite fascinated by him and his narration.
Joel and Beren riding the dino.
Joel, Quinn and Eris discovering skeletons.
I love this pic of the three cousins with the triceratops.
He almost escaped!
On our way back from Utah we picked up my brother Matt and before he left we went shooting with Rusty.
I like this pic, because it is me with two of my three brothers.
This is me shooting my 9mm. Gotta stay in practice!
We went home for a bbq and the boys had to break out the Bow and Arrows for more target practice.

Rusty's son Jimmy shooting bow.
What a whirlwind of a summer. It is winding down now and we are getting ready for school. Things will be much quieter. But I have to say this has been one of the best summers I have ever had and I kinda miss the noise and the crazy, at least we weren't bored. I know some day I will miss all the kids and chaos and things will be too quiet, so for now I will cherish the chaos!!
